Design of steel structures is produced in accordance with the design task, drawn up by the customer. Design typically involves two stages - engineering design and working drawings. For low-tech projects and projects, which construction is planned to carry on by the typical and repeatedly used designs, one-step design is permitted - detailed design (engineering design, combined with working drawings of steel structures).

Engineering design provides project substantiation, technological characteristics of the project, details of the construction area outlining the climatic and geological data, loads, examined variants of the design decisions, construction time and costs. At this stage the utility of steel structures is determined, the applicable typical structures are selected and the principal design map of facilities is established.

Working drawings of metal structures have two stages:  working documentation (KM) and detailed working documentation (KMD).

The KM design is drawn up by a design organization for a steel structures plant. In the KM design, all issues on layout of metal structures and linking them to other parts of the design (technology, transportation, architecture and construction, etc) are provided.

 The SD design consists of:

  • • List of project drawings KM;
  • • Title page containing data on loads, steel grades, legends, marking, corrosion protection system and other general comments;
  • • Patterns of steel structures - plans, transverse and longitudinal sections with marking of all structures and indication of their sections;
  • • Metal nodes, showing conjugations of individual elements between themselves;
  • • Specifications of the metal by sections for the whole object.

Design calculations of steel structures are contained in a separate calculation and explanatory note or made out in a calculation form composed of KM. KM drawings must contain all data for designing of detailed drawings KMD.

The KMD design is usually developed by a design office of a steel structures plant based on KM, taking into account technological features of the plant (machinery, production lines, welding equipment, auxiliary devices, etc.) and availability of metal assortment at a warehouse.

The DSD design includes:

  • • Title page with a list of project drawings and an explanatory note;
  • • Wiring diagrams of starting elements with marking and nodes of metal structures;
  • • Working drawings of starting elements;
  • • Summary lists of starting elements, mounting bolts, welds and rivets.

If there is a necessity to make some deviations from the KM design during designing of KMD (change of sections, joints, individual nodes, etc.), they shall be agreed with a design organization of KM project.

Команда руководителей завода успешно прошла тренинг по разработке стратегии развития бизнеса с компанией Роланд Бергер. Проект USAID ERA (USA).

Подписан меморандум о создании торгового представительства в Ираке в г. Басра с компанией Abdulraouf Chebaro Company.
